Mount Vernon is comfortably furnished to a high standard throughout with many interesting and beautiful features. The sitting room has an open fireplace. The library and terrace bedrooms open onto an extensive walled garden with lawns, herbaceous borders and a small orchard. The immense trees are thought to have been a gift from George Washington when the house was built. The spacious kitchen has a welcoming Aga and is fully kitted out for all culinary needs.

Mount Vernon was previously owned by Lady Gregory and has hosted and inspired poets and luminaries such as Yeats and Shaw. The house is alive with the past while fitted with all the necessities of today. There is Starlink wifi throughout the house, a 32” television with terrestrial channels, and a smart home system including Alexa to soundtrack your stay. The house is available for rent on a self-catering basis and sleeps eleven people.
